> Threats by Al-Qaeda and Terrorist organisations to voters and candidates. 14 Sunni candidates were killed in Sunni areas while AL-Qaeda and affiliated groups claimed responsibility for the killings.

> Over 8000 candidates and 256 parties (political entities) to choose from.

> Mass Displacement which meant many Iraqis are not living in their original areas to vote.

> A mere 10 years old “Elections Experience” as past regimes have been military dictators or monarchies.
